The Department of Islamic Studies
The Department of Islamic Studies aims to understand and reinterpret the foundations of Islamic religion, both theoretically and practically. It provides education and research opportunities in consideration of historical contexts and traditions. All courses make use of the main religious resources, especially the Qur’an and the Sunna, the foundations of Islamic belief and moral principles. The Department of Islamic Studies offers seven major programs: Interpretation; Hadith; Kalam; Islamic Law; History of Islamic Sects; Sufism; Arabic Language and Rhetoric.

What do graduates do?
The primary aim of the School is to educate intellectuals, thinkers and academics trained in different fields of social sciences and inclined to work academically. It also aims to train intellectuals working toward the solutions related to social and religious problems both home and abroad.
